Maria Estella Burciaga

Maria (Mary) Estella Burciaga was called to eternal rest by our heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 10, 2009. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Mary was a lifelong resident of the Anthony valley. As a loving and adoring mother her greatest gift to us was her true passion for you Oh Lord. She was solid in her faith and believed in your constant presence. Because of her, her faith and love will live on forever in our hearts, minds, bodies and souls. She is survived by her sister Natalie Garcia and her brother and sister in law Santiago and Socorro Burciaga, her six children: Olga, Andy Jr., Roger Sr., Sandra, David, Bertha, and their spouses, Ed, Helen, Beatriz, Javier, Gloria , Jose; 13 grandchildren: Cathie, Bill, (Sarah), Stephanie, Bobby , (Sandy), Bonnie, Rogelio Jr., (Christy), Nick, Andrea, Angel, Jason, Selene, Armando, (Toni), and Joseph; 13 great-grandchildren: Skye, Ashnie, Yolanda, Alex, Amber, Lyria, Santana, JoeAndy, Vinnie, Anisa, Josiah (Bingo), Annie and Isaiah; and one great-great grandson: Ezra and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 59 years Andres (Billy) E. Burciaga, her devoted parents Guillermo & Cruz Villegas, her sisters Olaya Duran & Alvina Boggs and her brothers Rodolfo Villegas, Roberto Villegas & Willie Villegas. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2009 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 224 Lincoln Ave. in Anthony, New Mexico. Funeral Mass will be on Monday February 16, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, New Mexico.
