Maria F. Beaman

Maria Beaman, known affectionately as Francisca, passed away on Saturday morning, March 12, 2022, at the age of 83. She was born in Matamoros, Coahuila in Mexico on October 4, 1938. Francisca married her husband, Kenneth Beaman, in 1966 and passed away one day after her 56th wedding anniversary. She would later go on to become a United States citizen and raise many children and grandchildren. Francisca was a loving wife and mother, who devoted her life to her loved ones. She deeply loved her children and grandchildren and took great care of them well into her golden years. Her family loved her fiercely and her in-laws loved her like one of their own. Francisca was an avid fan of baseball, often attending El Paso Diablos games, meeting the players, and watching Major League games at home with her family. Francisca was also a lover of the outdoors, often spending her days working on her yard and enjoying the El Paso sunshine. When she was not outdoors or watching a baseball game, she could often be found having lunch with her family at one of her favorite restaurants. Francisca is preceded in death by her parents, Augustin Velez and Carolina Reza; her son, Jose Velez; her daughter, Maria Smith; and many siblings. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Beaman; her daughter, Aurelia Lira; her grandsons, Damon Smith and Mychael Smith; and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, with Rosary at 6:00 PM, on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass.
