Marguerite Brandon

Marguerite Brandon, 90, passed away March 06, 2024. Marguerite was born in  Patrick, South Carolina on October 06, 1933 to Annie Jane and Charlie Sellers. 

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.   Marguerite spent her early years in Patrick before moving to Philadelphia Pennsylvania where she met, and in 1958, married her lifelong partner of 65 years, Lyman Brandon Jr. Together they have five children. They made El Paso home in 1960. 

Marguerite was a supportive military wife of more than 22 years. She worked for the El Paso Independent School District for over 20 years. Marguerite was an accomplished hairdresser, seamstress and quilter. She enjoyed going for long walks, gardening, visiting with friends, and spiritual fellowship. 

Marguerite was a woman who loved the lord. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in El Paso for over 50 years. Marguerite was loving, compassionate, and empathetic to all who knew her, touching many lives and making lifelong friends. 

Marguerite was predeceased by her husband Lyman Jr. and leaves behind their children Doris Ann, Lyman III, Michael, Edna Marie, Michael Anthony, grandson Michael Blum; sister Mable Marshall, brothers William Sellers and Willie Sellers, of Patrick SC, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. 

Visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:30am on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Drive.  Funeral Service will start at 12:00pm, and will be held at Mountain Baptist Church, 4959 Hondo Pass Drive. Committal Service to follow at 1:30pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
