Margaret F. Trejo (Franco), aged 96, passed away on June 16, 2024, in Corona, California. Born on November 29, 1927, in El Paso, Texas, Margaret dedicated much of her life to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the care and education of others.
Margaret embarked on her career as a nursing assistant, where she specialized in maternity care. Her passion for helping others continued to flourish as her children grew, prompting her to further her education. She became a beloved ESL teacher at Edison Elementary School, where she taught for many years, touching the lives of countless students with her dedication and kindness.
Beyond her professional life, Margaret was an avid enthusiast of arts and crafts, showcasing her creativity through various projects. However, her true joy was found in cooking for her friends and family, a hobby that brought her immense pleasure and allowed her to express her love and care.
Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose M. Trejo, and sons Rudy and Joe Trejo, as well as her sons-in-law, Robert Hernandez, Johnny Griffith and grandson Davon Carolina. She is survived by her daughters Eleanor Trejo, Irene Martinez (Michael), Belinda Griffith, and Ida Hernandez, and her son Fred (Carrie) Trejo, 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren and her daughters-in-law Frances, Bernie (wife of Rudy) and Sally (wife of Joe). Her legacy of warmth and generosity will live on through her family and all who knew her.
Services to honor and celebrate her life will be held at Thomas Miller Mortuary, located at 1118 E. 6th St, Corona, CA 92879. The Thomas Miller Mortuary in Corona, CA, is assisting the family with the arrangements. The burial services are in the care of Sunset Funeral Homes, 750 N. Carolina, El Paso, Texas. Visitation will be from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina, El Paso, TX 79915, Friday, July 12, 2024. Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 131 S. Zaragoza, El Paso, TX 79907.
Margaret will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Jose M. Trejo on July 12, 2024 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza, El Paso, TX 79907.
