Margaret (Peggy) Klinikowski, age 86 was born in Roswell New Mexico on November 6. 1921. She passed away quietly in her sleep on November 11, 2007 in El Paso Texas. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and her beautiful daughter Clara Gayle Klinikowski. Peggy is survived by her loving husband, retired Air Force Colonel Walter Paul Klinikowski, her three accomplished sons, Allan Richardson Klinikowski, Geard Jack Klinikowski, and Walter Paul Wunderlich, her five dynamic grandchildren, Autumn Gayle Klinikowski, Rachel Jane Murphy, Bryce Allan Klinikowski, Nicole Vanessa Wunderlich, and Thomas Wilson Wunderlich, her two adorable great grandchildren Myrie Noel Murphy and Shaughnessy Jane Murphy, and her devoted long time family friend, Rosa Marie Flores. Peggy was raised a proper young lady, attending finishing school at Ward Belmont in Nashville Tennessee, but in her heart she was always a rancher’s daughter and a New Mexico cowgirl. She married Captain Walter Paul Klinikowski in 1951 and along with their children, traveled the world throughout his Air Force career. Peggy was the consummate Officer’s wife, and relished the opportunities it afforded her. She was the President of the Officer’s Wives Club in both Yakota Japan, and Berlin Germany. Peggy thrived on entertaining others, and was always an extremely gracious hostess. Upon Walter’s retirement as a Colonel in Dayton Ohio in 1974, Peggy and the family relocated to El Paso Texas to be close to Peggy’s beloved mother Iva. Graveside services will be held on Friday November 16, at 2:30 PM. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. All funeral arrangements are being handled by Sunset Funeral Home – Northeast on Hondo Pass, and floral tributes should be sent care of their facility.
