Margaret Kikuye Kuba Craven—a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, nurse, and cherished soul known for her profound compassion—entered the presence of her Heavenly Father on March 22, 2025, at the age of 94. Born in 1931 in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Seiwa and Naye Kuba, Margaret was the youngest of 8 siblings. From an early age, she radiated warmth and grace, dedicating her life to faith, family, and the care of others. She earned a scholarship to Syracuse University where she pursued a nursing degree. Margaret went on to serve as a nurse for 35 years, touching countless lives with her healing hands and kind heart. While in Honolulu, she met the love of her life, Raymond Craven, who was serving in the U.S. Army. They married on July 4th and shared 46 joyful years together, building a home filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Together they raised 4 children, who were the pride and joy of her life. Margaret’s legacy is one of unwavering faith, quiet strength, and a heart devoted to service. She believed deeply in the power of prayer and the healing nature of kindness. After retiring from her long and meaningful nursing career, she embraced life’s simple joys—gardening, reading, watching Fox News and listening to AM690, playing piano, singing in the choir, and cherishing every moment with her children and grandchildren. She is lovingly survived by her 3 daughters: Patricia (Mario) Carmona, Rosemary (Tom) Rudd, and Juliana (Mitch) Plesant; 9 grandchildren: Sarah (Rebecca), Tyler (Carolyn), JonRay (Aimee), Clinton, Eric (Michelle), Christian (Kendra), Adam, Nicole, and Mia; and 4 great-grandchildren: Aidan, Connor, Camila, and Olivia. She is also survived by her beloved sisters, Trudy Laa and Rose Mizokawa. She is predeceased by her husband Raymond George Craven and her son Timothy James Craven. Margaret will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her spirit lives on in the countless acts of love and compassion she gave so freely. She is now receiving her reward with the Lord. A private memorial service will be held by her family to honor a life so beautifully lived.
