Manuel Ernesto Torres passed away June 19, 2007. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on May 19, 1923 and was a resident of El Paso for over 60 years. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army Air Corps in Europe. A longtime salesman in El Paso, he retired from civil service in Fort Bliss. He will be remembered by his many friends in the El Paso golfing community having been an avid golfer for the past 50 years. He was a longtime member of the Ascarate Golf Association and the Pan American Golf Association, El Paso Chapter. Manny is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Maria Paz Torres, his two sons, Manny and Enrique, his daughters-in-law, Victoria and Patricia, and his brother Henry Torres and sister-in-law, Anna. He was a loving grandfather to his 5 grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Vanessa, Alex, Brianna and 5 great-grandchildren. We will miss his kindness and loving ways and will remember often, his wonderful smile. Visitation 10 am to 11 am on Monday, June 25, 2007 with a Vigil at 11 am at St. Paul The Apostel Catholic Church. Funeral Mass at 12:15 pm Monday June 25, 2007 at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church; located at 7424 Mimosa. Interment to follow at Ft.
