Manuel S. Quesada, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2011. He was born January 10, 1934 in San Elizario, Texas to the late Pedro and Gerarda Quesada. Mr. Quesada served in the U.S. Army in the mid 1950s; he was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington.
Mr. Quesada was affectionately called “Manny” and “MannyQ.” He was a lifelong resident of Clint and El Paso, Texas. He worked as a truck driver for over 50 years working 34 of them at AMPI.
Mr. Quesada is survived by his wife Marcela M. Quesada, sons; Manuel Quesada Jr. and Jesus C. Melendez; daughters: Geraldine Mendoza, Mary Ann Luna, Jennifer Melendez, and Maria Quesada; brothers; Benito, Roberto, Pablo, and Nicolas Quesada, sisters; Trinidad Lucero and Mercedes Quesada. He is further survived by twenty two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 23, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery with Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Americas.
