Manuel E. Martinez

Our Father Manuel E. Martinez went to be with the Lord, his beloved wife Hildegard, and daughter Manuela on April 8, 2021. Manuel (Manny) is survived by his children Ruth, Ursula, Ramon, Anita, Ramona, and Anthony. Manuel had a full life that brought him many blessings to include his many wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dad had a large family from south Texas, where he was raised, to West Germany where he met his true love and wife of 66 years; Hilde. He loved and cared for you all deeply. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army at the end of WWII, Korea, and in Vietnam. He retired as a Platoon Sergeant with many honors that include: The Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Army Commendation Medal. Dad, we will miss your life lessons and many anecdotes. Dad, because of you, our conscience and your memory will be our guide. Visitation for Mr. Martinez will be from 1:00 – 4:00 PM, with Rosary at 2:00 PM, on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass.
