Manuel Marruffo

Manuel Marruffo, 83, Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather passed this past weekend on July 22, 2012. He was born on November 15, 1928 to proud parents, Edmundo and Carolina Marruffo. “Our Grumpy” worked many difficult jobs during his life, starting at the age of 15, caring for his siblings. He worked in the moving business, being an over the road trucker, and then a warehouse foreman from which he eventually retired. He is survived by his wife Sonia Marruffo; his children: Manuel Edmundo and Patricia Marruffo, Francisco Javier and Aida Marruffo, Alejandro and Wanida Marruffo, Lucia Elvia and Carlos Licon, Alejandrina and Ervin Adams, Ofelia and Alex Beaumariage; and his 17 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Carlos Mercado, Carolina Gonzalez and her husband Guty Gonzalez. His passing has left a very large void, it is difficult to fill. He made an impression in those that knew him, we will miss his smile, guidance, sense of humor, wisdom, personality, laugh, love. Visitation will be held from 4-6pm, Friday, July 27, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Vigil/Rosary will begin at 7pm, Friday, July 27, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 12pm, Saturday, july 28, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will be private at a later date in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
