Manuel Garcia-Nunez

Manuel Garcia-Nunez was born on December 19th, 1925 in El Paso and passed away peacefully at Del Sol Hospital on October 7th, 2012, surrounded by his family and in the good hands of the caring hospital staff. Manny graduated from El Paso High School, attended the College of Mines, and Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He had many occupations, such as night manager at the Plaza Hotel, private investigator, entrepreneur, campaign manager, and founding member of Project Bravo, Community Action Program in El Paso. In Wisconsin, he was the Director of Social Services in Milwaukee, Budget Administrator for the State of Wisconsin. After returning to El Paso, he worked at the Texas Employment Commission and was an appraiser for the Central Appraisal District in El Paso. He loved helping people in need. Manny made an impression on young and old alike, with his opinions and sayings. He lived a good life.+ . Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
