Manuel A. Cooper

Manuel Avelino Cooper left our arms but never our hearts on January 20, 2012. He was born in El Paso, November 10, 1933. Loving husband to wife Nellie, they were married for 52 years. He served in the army for our country in the Korean War, attended UTEP and earned a degree in accounting, and worked for the City of El Paso Water Utilities until he retired. He was a hard working man, loved tending to his yard, and traveling with his wife and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Manuela Cooper, daughters, Margaret Lange and her husband Reid , Mary Alice Cooper and husband Evan Alford, and Mary Ann Willis and her husband Max; and four grandchildren, Cooper Lange, Lauren Lange, Caroline Alford and Adam Alford. Visitation will be from 10am-11am Wednesday, January 25, 2012 with a rosary at 11 am at Sunset Funeral Home East. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:15pm on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Our Lady of the Valley Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with military honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
