Nena was born Magdalena Ruiz on May 29, 1929, in Villa Felix U Gomez, Chihuahua, Mexico to her parents Elisa Munoz-Ruiz and Dario Ruiz. She treasured her time with her large family and loved cooking big holiday meals with her daughters. She had a green thumb and grew beautiful roses and geraniums in her garden. She was adored by her fifteen Grandchildren, twenty-nine Great-Grandchildren, five Great-Great-Grandchildren and many other loving relatives.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Hector O. Murillo, Sr., her parents Elisa Munoz-Ruiz and Dario Ruiz, her brother Eligio “Lico” Ruiz and her sister Socorro “Suki” Ruiz.
