Luz (Lucy) Natividad Thompson – Beloved wife and mother, passed 7-25. Lucy was a surgical nurse at Hotel Dieu hospital and later a Title 1 representative of EPISD. She was a past PTA President of Stanton Elementary school. Lucy was a member of the Ladies of the Shrine, Court 34, Directors Staff, El Maida Shrine Temple. She assisted the Shrine burned and crippled children’s clinics as a volunteer translator. For several years, Lucy was a ladies pistol champion of the El Maida Provost Guard matches at the Ft Bliss Rod & Gun Club. She organized and hosted ladies activities for many state conventions of the Texas Shrine Provost Guard Association in El Paso. She loved to laugh, dance and enjoy friends and family. We will miss her beautiful smile. She is survived by her husband, Jack; daughter Margaret Geneva Hewlitt; and brothers Nicholas Natividad & wife Rosa, Emiliano Natividad & wife Gloria; sisters Margarita (Margie) Stephan and husband Rainer, Lillian Bronson, and many nephews and nieces. Visitaiton will be from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm, Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the El Maida Shrine, Children’s Hospital transportation fund. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
