Luz B. Lopez

Luz B. “Mima” Lopez, 78, born in Mesilla, New Mexico, passed away at her home on Monday, May 7, 2007 surrounded by her family. She was a life long resident of El Paso and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her grandson Daniel Lopez, son, Ramiro Lopez Jr., brother, Ricardo Benavente, parents, Santos and Virginia Benavente, and husband, Ramiro Lopez. She us survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Martinez and husband Jose Luis, son, Manuel Lopez and wife Carmen, sisters; Cecilia Salazar, Virginia Maurice, Vicenta Benavente and Gloria Benavente, brothers; Santos Benavente, Jesus Ramon Benavente, Anastacio Benavente, and Juan Ubaldo Benavente, grandchildren; Monica Valenzuela, Elizabeth Estrada, Joey, Chris and Marcos Martinez, Cesar, Will, David and Jasmine Lopez. Great-grandchildren: Joshua, Caleb, Dasani, Kirstin, Dana and Christian.Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, located at 750 N. Carolina Dr. with a Recitation of the Rosay at 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be held in her memory on Friday, May 11, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X. Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at Evergreen East Cemetery.
