Luz Gomez

Luz Gomez, 80 years January 8, 1928 – October 22, 2008 Luz, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was born in Juarez, Mexico and became a native of Sunland Park, N.M. She lived her life as a loving mother and caring friend to her community. She love cooking, sewing and made sure all her children took home her homemade tortillas. She was an active member of her church for over 25 years. She is survived by her husband, Alberto Gomez; her children, George Gomez, Lucy Gomez, Alberto Gomez, Jr., and Leticia Lozano, her eight sisters and one brother. Her grandchildren George Gomez, Jr., Freddy Cerecerez, Sandra Cerecerez, Bonnie Yrigoyen, Jacob Gomez, Abran Lozano, Jovanna Lozano and Marlene Gomez. Her great Grandchildren, Derek, Christian, and Tiffany Gomez, Sarah, Josephine, and Alexyss Cerecerez, Arturo Lozano, Jr., Bianca and Sebastian Yrigoyen. Visitation will be held from 2:00-7:00 pm, Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-West, Chapel of Remembrance with a Vigil at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, October 27, 2008 at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery.
