Luz Valdez Gallardo

Luz Valdez Gallardo was born March 1, 1923 in Torreon, Coah, Mexico to Alfredo Valdez and Catalina Valles. She was a lifelong resident of El Paso, TX. On October 7, 2021 she went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by her sisters, Martha Villarreal and Guadalupe Enriquez; daughters, Ruth Corona (Rodolfo) and Lucy Garcia (Luis); grandsons Rudy Corona II, Philip Garcia (Krystal) and David Garcia (Vicky); and numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Ignacio Gallardo; and sisters and brothers; Isabel Villarreal, Alfredo Valdez, David Valdez, Berta Cisneros, Julieta Fernandez, and Luis Valdez. She was a faithful servant of our Lord and a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. We are blessed to have had this beautiful soul for over 98 years of life. She was a true blessing and inspiration to us all. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. Her love will live forever in our hearts. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Sunset Funeral Homes-East ,750 N. Carolina Dr., El Paso, TX 79915. Visitation from 10:00 am-11:00 am, Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 am with Interment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
