Luz Maria Fernandez

LUZ MARIA FERNANDEZ passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the age of 98. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband Antonio Fernandez, her infant son Victor, infant daughter Maria Elena Fernandez and her sister Josefina Rocha. She is survived by her son Antonio Fernandez, daughter Carolina F. Chavez and her husband Rafael Chavez, 4 grandchildren; Yvonne Trillo (Arthur), Rafael Chavez Jr., Belinda Cardenas (Jose), Marie Ramos (Joe), 5 great-grandchildren; Arthur Trillo Jr, Selina Cardenas, Andrea Trillo, Samantha Ramos and Sabrina Ramos. We would like to thank the staff from Monte Vista at Coronado, Hospice El Paso, and Las Palmas Medical Center for their care. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, with Holy Rosary at 7:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10:00AM at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
