Luz B. Carrasco

Luz B. Carrasco, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 25, 2011. She was a dedicated Christian woman who loved the Lord with all her heart. She loved to praise the Lord with her singing and blessed everyone who had the opportunity to hear her sing. She was born and raised in Smeltertown, Texas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Candelario Carrasco Sr. , her sister Hilda B. Ontiveros, her brother Efrain Beard and cousin Wulfrano Ruiz. She is survived by her twin brother Alberto Beard Jr., sons Candelario Carrasco Jr. and Robert Beard, daughter Mary Carrasco, grandchildren Norma C. Martinez (David Martinez Sr.), Jessica Carrasco, Isaiah Beard and Joanna Beard, great-grandchildren Jessica Marie Martinez and David Martinez Jr. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.Wednesday, March 2, 2011 with a prayer service at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Reverend Jimmy De La O at Sunset Funeral Home East, 750 N. Carolina. Interment will follow immediately at Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be Candelario Carrasco Jr., Robert Beard, David Martinez Sr., Eduardo Ontiveros, Benjamin Ontiveros and Alberto Beard Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be great-grandson David Martinez Jr. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
