Luisa Garcia, 81, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Luisa was born in Allen Farm, Texas on November 22, 1936, moved to Navasota, Texas at a young age and was married on April 21, 1956 to Rodrigo (Rod) Garcia JR. After several years of military life and the birth of their six children, they moved to El Paso, Texas in 1964. Preceded in death by parents Daniel and Romana Garza, (Step-Mother) Trinidad Garza, siblings; Margarita Garza, Feliz Garza, Samuel Garza, Trinidad Acosta, Susanna Gomez, and a Granddaughter Kimberly Dinsdale. She leaves behind her husband of 62 years Rodrigo Garcia JR., children Silvia Young (Gilbert), Cynthia Garcia, Teresa Palmer (Mark), Ralph Garcia (Carmen), Robert Garcia (Tammy), Janie Warrington (Chuck), Cochise Rounds (Michelle) along with 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; siblings Santos Smith (Norman), Mary Valadez (Hector), Carolina Garza, and Rudolf (Rudy) Garza. She loved to work in her garden, enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, and traveling. She also really enjoyed visiting the casino’s in her later years. Visitation 5:00 to 9:00 PM with Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 PM, Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Scripture Service at 12:30 PM, Monday, August 20, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast. Committal Service will follow at 1:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
