Louie ( Liri ) Chavez earned his angel wings entered heaven on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. He was 77 tears old, born and raised in Ysleta in El Paso, TX, a graduate of Ysleta High School, and a proud Airman of the United States Air Force. Louie was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, among other things. His faith in the Catholic church inspired family and friends and will be greatly missed by all. He loved all and is loved by many.

Louie is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Josie Silva-Chavez, survived by his children Luis Jr., Melinda, Christy, Jaime, Rene and five grandchildren to cherish his memory forever.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 09, 2022 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 131 S. Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, Texas 79907. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. A Graveside will be taken place after the mass at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, Texas 79907.
