Louise P. Bell

December 9, 1939 — August 7, 2021

On Saturday, August 7th, 2021, Louise Parker Bell, loving mother, and grandmother entered eternal life at the age of 81. Her memory is carried on by her two children, her granddaughter, and all those who loved her. Louise was born on December 9th, 1939 in Magnolia, Arkansas to Marzell (Sargent) Hildreth and Emmett Hildreth. Her parents relocated to El Paso, Texas in 1954, where she was raised and graduated from Jefferson High School. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Special Education, from the University of Texas at El Paso, and was a teacher in the El Paso Independent School District for a total of 39 years. She was a special education teacher and made a difference in every child's life that she touched. She was a founding member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church along with her parents, Deacon Emmett and Sis. Marzell Hildreth when Unity was formed in June 1963. And much like her parents she served faithfully as a Sr. Doorkeeper and in the Music Ministry until her health no longer allowed her to. If you had the pleasure of knowing her, you would know that she had two loves other than her family; her church and the Dallas Cowboys. On Sundays, you could find Louise serving at Unity Baptist, in the choir singing her favorite gospel song, or in her chair yelling at the TV during a football game. She was a kind, compassionate, strong woman who will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Louise loved to cook for her family, and enjoyed spending time with them. Louise was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Deacon Emmett and Sis. Marzell Hildreth. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons Emmett and Ronnie, her granddaughter Embesy, and her godchildren Trina, Desi, and Anna as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles, and her beloved Unity Missionary Baptist Church Family. A Visitation and Wake will be held Monday, August 23rd from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 4631 Hondo Pass, with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 pm. We will be celebrating her life on Tuesday, August 24th at 11:00 AM at Unity Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery.
