February 9, 1946 — September 16, 2012

One of The Bolanos Brothers of El Paso, TX, Louis C. Bolanos, 66, lost his last battle with cancer on September 16, 2012. Louis was born February 9, 1946, in Los Angeles, California, the son of late Margaret and Luis Bolanos. He was the eldest of four brothers who were the only brothers to serve in the Vietnam War at the same time. Louis also worked as an engineer for the Santa Fe railroad and after 20 years successfully retired in 1991, thereafter he ran his own business and benevolently spent countless hours advocating for veterans locally and throughout the United States. On June 7, 1973, he proudly married Estela Loya, who survives him. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Adrian Louis and Veronica Bolanos of El Paso, Texas; grandchildren, Karina, Adrina, and Adrian Louis Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Lynn and Robin Moore of Garland, TX.; grandchildren, Robert and Isabella; and brothers, Ben, Bill, and Rick.
