Louis W. Antoine

Louis W. Antoine, 87, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Ambrosio Guillen Texas State Veterans Home. He was born on March 13, 1920 in Oakes, North Dakota. He served the U.S. Army during WWII and fought in the Pacific Islands. Mr. Antoine earned a bronze star for good conduct. He was a Staff Sergeant and mechanic of Army trucks. After an honorable discharge he went to work for Mobil Oil Co. exploring for oil. He began in Dickinson, North Dakota and then came to Texas in 1954. In 1960 the company moved him to El Paso which he made his home. He also worked for Western Auto for over 20 years as a mechanic. He is survived by his wife Mary of 51 years; sons: Michael Antoine (Luly) & John David Antoine (Yolie); brother: Joe Antoine; grandchildren: Danny, Jennifer & Matthew Antoine. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 9:00 pm on Sunday, August 26, 2007 with a Vigil at 7:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home-East; located at 750 N. Carolina Drive. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Monday, August 27, 2007 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church; located at 7712 Rosedale. Interment to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-East.
