Lonzie Larry was born on Feb 2, 1942 in Elaine Arkansas to the late Otis and Elnora Larry. He spent his early life in Detroit Michigan and after high school he joined the US Army. His desires to travel lead him to Korea and later Germany where he spent 23 years. There he met the love of his life Gaby Paelloth who he married and spent 29.5 years by his side. The pride and joy of his life was his son Michael Larry. His military career of 30 yrs ended at Ft Bliss Texas in Air Defense. He was known as a strong leader and retired as a Master sergeant. His retirement was short as he returns to the work force again as a bus driver for Sun Metro Bus Company. He was a business man opening an automotive parts store and worked at a community garden. Lonzie sense of humor was well known at the domino or card table. He touched the hearts of all who came to know him. Lonzie is survived by his wife and son Gabriele and Michael Larry (El Paso); 2 sisters Darlene and Leola and a brother Otis Larry(Detroit); mother in law Hilde Paelloth ;sisters in law Gisela and Ingrid Paelloth ;brother in law Jurgen Palloth (Germany) as well as many nephews ,nieces and friends. Visitation to be held from 5-8 pm, Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Service will begin at 12:30 pm, Friday, June 1, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast with a burial to follow at Ft Bliss National Cemetery.
