Lisa Marie Harder was born April 9, 1961 to Renate St. Clair Parsons in Cambridge, Minnesota. She passed on January 10, 2018 with her loving husband by her side. She passed due to heart and lung failure at the age of 56 at University Medical Center in El Paso, TX. She resided in Northeast El Paso, Texas with her husband Mark after 26 years as a military spouse and mother.
Lisa married Mark L. Harder on August 21, 1977 and almost immediately moved to Bamberg, Germany for their first overseas assignment and honeymoon. After leaving Germany, they moved to Fort Riley, Kansas in 1980 where life with her two daughters, Christina and Rachel began. Nothing was more important to Lisa than her family. Her husband and daughters were the center of her life and nothing was more important.
Lisa was always an outgoing person who could make you laugh at any time.
She began life as a Grandmother to her three grandchildren in 2011 with each bringing her great joy which was seen in her smile and beautiful blue eyes every time she saw them. In addition to spending time with her grandchildren, she spent her time as a TOPS member for 28 years and as a Red Hat Belle, where she thoroughly enjoyed dressing up in the red and purple with lots bling. She was also an avid Bunco player and a friend to many.
During the first Gulf War, during her husband’s deployment, she ensured her children and many of the wives of her husband’s unit were supported and helped to provide a stable environment for all. She helped both of her parents during their later years before their passing.
She is preceded in death by her parents Renate St. Clair Parsons and Paul B Parsons Sr. and her eldest brother Michael Roy St. Clair. She is survived by her husband Mark Harder of El Paso, Texas, her daughters Christina Edlin and husband Timothy, Rachel Paine and husband Randy, and her grandchildren, Matthew Edlin, Emily and Christopher Paine, her brother Kenneth St. Clair and wife Michele of Carlsbad, CA, and two aunts in Germany, Ulla and Jutta.
