It is with great sadness that our family is sharing the passing of Lilia “Lily” Huerta, 80, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was born December 24, 1930 in El Paso, Texas and passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 in her home. She was the daughter of Ike and Maria Louisa Murillo who preceded in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Estella Ramirez and son, Armando Huerta, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Armando Huerta; son, Rudy and wife Rosa Huerta, their 5 children, and 12 grandchildren; daughter, Yolanda and husband Eddie Madrid and their 2 children and 4 grandchildren, daughter, Mina and husband, Carmelo Romero, their 4 children, and 18 grandchildren; Virginia and husband David Cisneros and their son; daughter, Gloria and husband, Fernando Martinez and their 2 children and 4 grandchildren; daughter, Vangie and husband Mike Romero and their 4 children and 4 grandchildren; son, Felipe Huerta and his 6 children and 3 grandchildren; son, Salvador Huerta (Jerry Ortega) and his 2 children; daughter, Velma and husband Chico Yañez and their 2 children; daughter, Diana and husband Tury and their 3 children; daughter, Jackie and husband Earl Sanders and their 3 children; brother, Tony Murrilo; sisters: Aurora and Margarita Murillo. Pallbearers will be: Armando Romero, Rudy Huerta, Jr., Mando Huerta, Danny Cisneros, Benjamin Ashley Martinez, and Jake Yañez. Honorary Pallbearers: Moises Huerta, Dale Sanders, and Marcelino Murrilo. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 pm, Monday, January 24, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast with a Vigil begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:00 am, Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Committal Service to begin at 10:30 am, Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
