Lilia Anderson, 87, passed away October 6, 2010 in El Paso, Texas, following a long illness. She was born on September 8, 1923, in Bocas Del Toro, Republic of Panama. Mama Lilia, as she was known by friends and loved ones, has left this life but does live in the heart of those who love her and stayed behind. She will be missed, but always remembered. Mrs. Anderson loved and enjoyed being a volunteer for many years at the Wellington Chew Senior Center until health problems forced her to stop. Lilia was preceded in death by her son, Alfredo Simpson. She is survived by her son, Gerardo Suira of Panama City; daughters, Edisa Porter of El Paso, TX, Benedicta Camarena of Panama City, Denia Salazar of Panama City, and Carmen Jones of Witchita, Kansas. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm, Monday, October 11, 2010 with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
