Leticia Martinez

Leticia E. Martinez, 67, resident of Fabens, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on July 23, 2023 surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly.   Leticia was a life-long follower of Jesus Christ, a loving wife, a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, godmother and friend.  She had an incredible love for the “Divino Nino Jesus” and she taught us that everything is possible with prayer.  She was a strong woman of faith and an active member of a prayer group in Fabens.  Leticia was the life of the party and always put a smile on everyone’s faces that she encountered.  She loved camping and the outdoors.  Preceded in death by her parents, Carlos Estrada and Berta Alvarado Estrada, and her first daughter, baby Celina.  Survived by her husband of 47 years, Alejandro Martinez, daughters, Celina Pedregon (Oscar) and Celeste Sariñana (Tony).  Brothers, Ezequiel Estrada (Delia), Rafael Alvarado (Martha) and sister, Lucina Varela (Javier).  Grandchildren, Magdalena Sariñana, Makayla Pedregon, Madelyn Pedregon, Valerie Sariñana and Alejandro Sariñana.  Leticia also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and god-children that will honor and cherish her memory.  The family would like to express their immeasurable gratitude to all those that had been praying for her during her illness.   A private inurnment will be held by the family at a later date. 

A Gathering will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Celebration of Life-Rosary starting at 7:00 PM on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr., El Paso, Texas 79907. A Celebration of Life-Mass will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Fabens Church, 127 W Main St, Fabens. Texas 79838.
