LeRoy Hammond Gibson

LeRoy H. Gibson Jr, 81, a loving son, husband, father and grandfather passed unto eternal life in the early morning hours of Dec. 21, 2016. He was born to LeRoy H. Gibson Sr. and Ruth D. North on August 29, 1935 in Nashville, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Gibson as well as his two aunts Earnestine and Josephine North. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, Scott Gibson; wife, Ashleigh; and his two grandchildren Morgan and Mackenzie. LeRoy Gibson was a member of the Presidential Honor Guard in the US Army and Clock Club Member. Leroy worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 37 years as a Brakeman and Conductor. He retired in 2000 and was an avid hunter. A Gathering of Rembrance: 8:30 am to 10:00 am Friday, January 6, 2017 will be held at Sunset Funeral Home East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Inurnment to follow at 11:00 am will be at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Animal Rescue League/Humane Society or El Paso Food Bank.
