Leone Drugan Ivey

Leone Drugan Ivey, age 93, passed away at the family home December 1, 2022. She was born December 21, 1928 in Miami, Arizona and attended Ysleta High School, where she was a member of the Newman Club. It was at a Newman Club hayride on the Ivey family farm that she met her future husband, Benjamin Lee Ivey. They married and went on to have 14 children together.

Leone was a devout Catholic her entire life. She served as a member and president of the Altar Society for many years at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Our Lady of the Desert Court, 2236.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Benjamin Lee Ivey, and sons Matthew Ivey, Patrick Ivey, Michael Ivey and daughter-in-law, LaTrisha. Leone Ivey is survived by her children Laurie (Reb) Sims, Ben (Kathy) Ivey, Tommy (Linda) Ivey, Dennis Ivey, David Ivey, Brian (Teri) Ivey, Chris Ivey, Mark (Vicki) Ivey, Marty (Dawn) Ivey, Mary (Jim) Cashion, and Adrienne (Jess) Schultz. She also leaves behind 25 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Leone was very loved by all and will be dearly missed.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 6:00 PM on Monday, December 5, 2022 at the Family Residence, 9642 North Loop Dr., El Paso, Texas. The Mass of Resurrection will begin at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 8600 Winchester Rd, El Paso, Texas. The Rite of Committal will follow at 12:30 PM, Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home- Americas.
