Leonardo Valenzuela, 81, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024.
He graduated from Technical High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Leonardo would later marry the love of his life in 1966, Lilly.
Leo was a cable splicer at AT&T for 30 years and retired June 2001. He loved to go camping, visit
Las Vegas and watch his beloved Dallas Cowboys. He was an avid supporter of UTEP Football and Basketball, never missing a game. He also loved watching over of his grandkids and supporting them in all their sports activities.
Leo is preceded in death by his parents, Dolores and Ramona and his granddaughter, Rebekah Wilson. He leaves behind his wife of almost 58 years Lilly; daughters, Margaret Massey and Lucinda Guerra (Mark). His grandchildren, Kristopher Massey (Leslie), Kassandra Massey, Zulema Guerra. His great-grandchildren, Kristie Joy Maulit Massey, Aston Adonis Salinas and Kaleb Kash Massey.
Gathering of Remembrance will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM and Military Honors at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, May 29, 20242 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina. Memorial Mass 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 30, 2024 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 11700 Pebble Hills.
