Leona Pearl Hornbrook-Barraza

Leona Pearl Hornbrook-Barraza was born September 22, 1934 to Homer and Pearl Cahoon in Mesilla, New Mexico. When Leona was young she competed in barrel racing and enjoyed car racing. She worked for the military for many years and retired as a GS7. She was married 3 times during her life but the third time was a charm. She married Jose Barraza and they enjoyed many years together. She is survived by her husband, Jose Barraza, and her sisters, Berta, Ethel and Vivian, and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her step-children; Judy, Patricia, Joe, Teresa and Christina and many grandchildren. She was a lady with charm and grace. She always had a kind word to say. She was loved very much and will be greatly missed. Funeral Service will begin at 9:30am on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Northgate Christian Church, 5430 Yvette. Committal Service to follow at 11:00am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
