Leah Ray Bechtlofft, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at age 50. Leah was born in El Paso, TX on March 15, 1966. She graduated from Irvin High School. She received her Bachelor’s of Art in Theater Arts from New Mexico State University with Honors. She is survived by her Mother, Patricia; Father, Dennis, Sister Melanie Hayes, Brother Louis Bechtlofft, two nieces, Melissa Bustillos, her husband John Bustillos, and Bryanna Wagner. Two nephews, Ian Hayes, Christopher Hayes, Four great nephews, Gabriel, Caleb, Kameron, and Colby, and one great niece, Bella. She is proceeded in death by two brothers, Ronald Bechtlofft, and Bryan Bechtlofft, U.S. Navy. Her hobbies included quilting. Leah was a member of two quilt guilds, El Paso Northeast Quilt Guild and Paso del Norte Quilt Guild. She was a participant in the Quilts for Wounded Warriors. One of her greatest joys was to make flag quilts to honor the Wounded Warriors, and present the military with a beautiful Quilt. Be it known Leah is our beautiful angel quilting in Heaven. Visitation will be at 10:00am to 12:00pm with a Funeral Service at 12:00pm on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
