Laurie Chanson

Laurie Lynn (Thompson) Chanson born June 19, 1955 in El Paso, Texas - Died September 2nd, 2024 in El Paso, Texas at the age of 69. Laurie's childhood was less than idea. Fortunately, she met her soulmate, Arthur as a teenager. They married at 18 and 19 years old and happily celebrated nearly 51 years of marriage together. For Laurie, family was everything. She prided herself on being an excellent wife and mother. She always had breakfast, lunch, dinner and after school snacks ready for her family. Her favorite holiday was Christmas because she loved giving gifts. She knew the birthday of every single person in our family and always made sure to send a card and or gift to her loved ones. She enjoyed watching old movies from the 1940's and classic TV shows like I love Lucy and the Honeymooners. She adored music, especially Phil Collins, Genesis and the Beatles. One of her favorite hobbies was tending to her beautiful flowers. She always kept an immaculate home that was warm, charming and welcoming. Everyone that knew her agreed that she was a kind, loving and selfless woman. She was an incredible wife and mother an devoted all her time and energy to her family and pets. Laurie is survived by her loving husband of almost 51 years of marriage, Arthur Chanson, her two lovely daughters Jennifer Ogden and Melinda Chanson, her sons in law Mark Ogden and Florent Tissier, her wonderful grandchildren, Chance, Hunter, Sophia, and Genevieve Ogden and Lily and baby to be Chanson Tissier, her brothers and sisters, Marius and Betsy Chanson, Scott and Annette Chanson,Terry and Debbie Uetrecht, and her beloved pets, Abby, Rocky and her turtles. Memorial services will be held for family only.
