Laslie W. Satterwhite

Laslie W. “Bill” Satterwhite passed away to be with the lord on July 11, 2010 in El Paso, Texas at the age of 93, surround by loved ones. Bill was born in Roaring Springs, TX on June 30, 1917 to Henry and Martha Satterwhite. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Margaret Jo Collier Satterwhite, and his son Steven Ward Satterwhite. He is survived by his second wife Bettie Jackson Satterwhite, son Bud Satterwhite and wife Ginny of El Paso, Granddaughters Dawn Adams and husband Dale of McKinney, Texas, Lindsey Satterwhite Preston and husband Matt of Denton, Texas, Holly Satterwhite of Denton, Texas, and great-grand children Chelsea and Cody Adams of McKinney, Texas. Bill served in the Army Air Force during World War II where he received the American Service Medal Victory Medal. He joined IBM in 1946 where he was a top salesman. After retiring in San Antonio, Texas he enjoyed fishing, hunting and RVing. He was a long time member of Alamo Heights Presbyterian Church in San Antonio where he served as Elder. Bill met Bettie Jackson at Rio Norte Retirement Home where they became kindred spirits and married on February 27, 2010. Visitation 10:30 – 11:30 am Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Trinity First United Methodist. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 11:30 am at Trinity First United Methodist.
