Larry David Sechrist

Larry David Sechrist, age 77, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016. Larry was born in Sentinel Butte, North Dakota on July 26, 1939. At age 18 he left to serve his country proudly in the U.S. Army, and he retired as a Master Sergeant. Larry would marry Florence Jezierski from Cleveland, Ohio, and they would have three children: Steve, Kelly, and Lisa. Larry was a very talented motorcycle collector, restorer and rider. He visited most of the USA riding motorcycles with his friends and made even more friends on his travels. He was also part of a motorcycle drag racing team that set a DRAGBIKE! USA National Class Record in Class S/G. Larry was preceded in death by his parents: Pearl (Myers), and Richard Sechrist. Also, preceded in death by Flo Sechrist, and daughter Lisa Sechrist. Larry leaves behind his daughter Kelly Spilka, and son-in-law Thomas Spilka; Son Steve Sechrist, and daughter-in-law Zora Sechrist; Sisters: Carole Dick, Dorothy McFadden, Darlene Henke, and Marlys Poff. Larry leaves behind his caring neighbors Roger and Bea Taggert. Larry also leaves behind his many friends who shared his love of motorcycles. He was a rich man for having each one of them in his life. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Service will be at 9:00am Monday, November 21, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service will follow at 10:30am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
