Lakesha Ann Jackson was born on January 10, 1983 in El Paso, Texas to Lonnie Townsend, Sr. and Addie Mae Townsend. She graduated from Maxine Silva Magnet High School and continued her education at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX, University of Texas at San Antonio, and the University of Phoenix.
Lakesha was employed by the federal government. She was a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church (UMBC) Family, where Lonnie Townsend, Sr., is Pastor. She was also a member of the Lord’s House Ministry and Open Arms of Love Fellowship, Inc.,
Lakesha loved singing, praise dancing, and working with the church youth. She was a member of the Unity Trailblazers Ministry, Praise Dance Ministry and member of the Lovely Sunset Baptist Association.
Lakesha leaves behind to treasure her memory her beautiful daughter Sariah Lowery (San Antonio, TX); her father and mother Lonnie Townsend, Sr., and Addie Mae Townsend (El Paso, TX); her brother Lonnie Townsend, Jr., (Spokane, WA); her sister Michelle Townsend (Midland, TX), her nieces (Zinnia and Azalea), uncles; aunties; cousins; UMBC family; Open Arms of Love Fellowship, Inc., church family; a host of other relatives and long-time friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00pm on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home - Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Dr. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 4601 Maxwell Ave. Committal Service to follow at 2:00pm on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 4848 Alps Dr..
