Kelly Rene Lindstrom

April 22, 1979 — January 4, 2013

Kelly Schoch Lindstrom died on January 4, 2013, after an arduous and valiant battle with brain cancer. Her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ came for her at 5:43 a.m. and escorted her ever so gently and tenderly to heaven, where she was greeted by her beloved grandmothers and grandfather who went before her. Kelly was born at 6:19 p.m. on Sunday 22 April 1979. Three minutes later her twin sister Kimberly arrived. In every sense of the nursery rhyme words, Kelly was a Sabbath child. She was “bonny [attractive] and blithe [lighthearted] and good and gay [exuberant].” In elementary school, she was so outgoing that she told her teachers everything that went out at home, from a burnt dinner to the evening’s discussions. As far as she was concerned there was not any such thing as a family secret. As she grew older she never lost her outgoing nature and had a hard time saying anything bad about anyone. She has always had a special place in all of our hearts. Kelly graduated from Coronado High School in 1997 and Vista College in 2010, where she was in midst of an externship to be a medical assistant when the cancer struck. She was a life-long member of Harvest Christian Center (HCC), growing from the youth group to an adult member. The love she received from HCC, its pastors, the congregation, and her family strengthened her throughout her ordeal, while her faith in Jesus’ tender mercies sustained her until the very end. As special thanks goes out to HCC Pastor Eddie Lee and his wife Linda, Pastor John Absher, Pastor Tim Allen, Pastor Ralph Sanchez, Pastor Beverly Spillman, and Pastor Jeena Lee. The family also thanks many other HCC staff and congregation members too numerous to mention here. Kelly, we will miss you mightily but rejoice in your home going and look forward to when we will all reunite one day soon. Preceding Kelly in death were her precious “ita’s” (Chelo and Olie), grandmother (Mimi), and grandfather (Opa). She is survived by her three sons Ethan Schoch (14), Kaleb Lindstrom (8) and Tristin Lindstrom (6), the father of her children, (Justin Lindstrom), her mother and father (Linda and Frank Schoch), her sister and brother-in-law (Kimberly and Matthew Brown), her niece (Sienna Brown), her brother (Derek Schoch), and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her family would like to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and medical institutions that treated her during her illness. Of special note are doctors Fadi Hanibali, Panagiotis Vililis, Boris Kaim, Suresh J. Antony, Carlo Hatem, and Oscar Noriega. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:50 p.m., with prayer at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, January 7th at Sunset Funeral Home, 480 N. Resler Dr. Funeral services will be held at Harvest Christian Center (1345 New Harvest Place, El Paso, TX 79912) at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8th, followed by burial at Memory Gardens of the Valley in Santa Teresa, NM.
