El Paso

Katherine Everett Bradshaw was reunited in heaven with family Sunday, December 29, 2024.

She was born October 18, 1928 in Rosedale, Kansas to Homer Lee and Avis Mae McDaniel Everett. After graduation she became a devoted nurse caring for others with compassion and grace.

On February 23, 1979 Kansas City Kitty married Staff Sergeant James Riley Bradshaw, Jr., the love of her life joining him at Fort Bliss in El Paso. She became an active member of the Fort Bliss Church, where she sang in the choir and played her tambourine enthusiastically. Katherine was an elegant woman who always displayed incredible glamor and fashion. Her favorite color was purple that symbolized her faith and grace. She loved yellow roses that reflected her sunny disposition.

Katherine was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband and her sister “Chucha” Helen Rosetta Sims.

She leaves to cherish her memory, James Bradshaw lll and daughter, Janeice. Aunt Kat also leaves many Sims nephews, nieces, great and grand nephews and nieces, as well as her lifelong friends in KCK and El Paso.
