Karl O. Ludwig

Karl Otto Ludwig, 77, passed away Saturday April 29, 2023 in his home at Ludwig Farms in Anthony, New Mexico. Karl was born on August 25, 1945 in El Paso, TX to Stella Uranga and William Ludwig. Karl is survived by his five children, Karl Ludwig Jr., Travis Ludwig and wife Crystal, George Ludwig, Mary Katherine Ballard and husband Chris, and Kara Ludwig; seven grandchildren, Kristian Ludwig, Breya Ludwig, Travis Ludwig, Bryson Ludwig, Stella Brooks, Violet Ballard, and Maisie Ballard. Karl is survived by his siblings; Wilhelmina Apodaca husband Hooky, Sylvia Searfoss husband George, Walter Ludwig, Maximillian Ludwig wife Mary, and Henry Ludwig wife Diane. Karl served in the U.S. Navy and was a lifelong farmer in the Mesilla Valley.

Karl will long be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of cars, motorcycles, and Coors Lite.

A Rosary will be held at 10:00am on May 20, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home -West. A Graveside Service with Honors will follow at 12:45pm at St. Anthony Cemetery; N 4th St. & Acosta Rd, Anthony, NM 88021.

The family will have a Reception following at Our Lady of Refuge at 1320 Mercantil Ave. La Union, NM 88021 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm.
