Julio Alberto Medina

March 30, 1973 — December 9, 2020

Julio A Medina born on March 30, 1973 was called home by his Creator on Dec. 9, 2020. Julio was born and raised in El Paso Texas alongside his parents, brothers and sisters. At a young age he learned to play the drums and percussions. A talent he loved to use to praise his Lord. In June of 2000, he married the love of his life, Nancy Varela. Together they embarked on a new adventures. Adventures that would continue with the addition of their two daughters Alejandra and Abigail. Even though he had obtained a degree in Criminal Justice, Julio chose to work alongside his father in their family owned business. For over 25 years, he proudly worked at Superior Body and Paint with his father doing what he loved, working not only on cars but with people. In 2014, he started the process to purchase the family business. He was the proud owner of Superior Body Shop while maintaining an active family life until his passing. From church, school, rodeo, softball and life, he made it a point to be active and present in his girl’s lives. His wife and girls were his biggest and greatest pride and joy. He attended every practice, every rodeo, every game and every tournament. He truly was a proud girl dad. He is remembered as a man of great faith, a hardworking man, a loving husband, an adoring father, an example of a son and brother and a true friend to many. Julio had a God given talent of being able to walk into a room and talk to any and every one there. It was one of his many gifts. He loved the Lord and his family and always proudly displayed it. He was a proud member of Living Water Christian center for almost 20 years. He proudly participated with music and in his church softball team. His love for the game and horses were passed down to his girls. He could always be found at an arena or a field by the sound of his voice cheering someone on. He would stop at a random field, park, or school just to watch a game. He supported his loved ones and perfect strangers the same. He is preceded in death by his father Alfredo Medina+. He is survived by his wife of 20 years Nancy Varela-Medina, his daughters Alejandra and Abigail Medina, his mother Irma Medina, his brothers and sisters Alfredo Jr, Margarita (Dominguez), Isabel (Perez), Daniel, his parents-in-law Jose and Rufina Varela, brothers and sister-in-law Luis (Varela), Joe (Varela), Maria (Rodarte), and over 17 nieces and nephews.
