Julia G. Brown

Julia Brown, 96, El Paso resident since 1979, passed away of natural causes on January 16, 2012. Born, October 3, 1915 in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin, her family homesteaded in Montana in 1918. Julia attended school in Hardin, Montana. There she married Alvin Brown who passed away in 1994. Both Julia and Alvin worked for Boeing during WWII making bombers for the war effort. Julia enjoyed arts and crafts and was a prolific knitter. She was active in Eastern Star Past Matrons and P.E. O. organizations supporting education of young women. Late in her life she worked as a volunteer in a local hospital. She was the last living member of her immediate Graf family of seven brothers and sisters of whom many lived into their 90s. Survivors include; identical twin sons Terrance and Morris Brown – both architects and their wives Sandra and Sonia; seven grandchildren - Sheridan, Nathaniel, Jessie, Christina, Christian, Victoria and Veronica as well as six great grandchildren. She lived a full healthy life and will be missed. Services arranged by Sunset Funeral Homes, 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, Feb. 4, 2:00 PM. Memorial donations may be sent to P.E.O.
