Juanita M. Leday

Juanita Muñoz LeDay, age 76, went home to her savior Jesus Christ on August 2, 2023. She was born August 3, 1946, in El Paso, Texas. Daughter to the late Juan Muñoz and Ana Alire. She graduated from El Paso High School. Juanita was a loving mother and wife who was full of life and enjoyed being around her family.

Juanita is preceded in death by her sister Anita Castillo of El Paso, TX, brother Ruben Alire of El Paso, TX, and stepdaughter Barbara Jean LeDay of Lake Charles, LA. She is survived by her husband of 27 years Robert LeDay, of Lake Charles, LA, sister Eva Fraga of Las Cruces, NM, brother Fernando Vargas of El Paso, TX, children Christopher V. Valles and spouse Michelle Valles of Chicago, IL, Kristy A.F. Johnson and spouse Anthony Scott Johnson of Hot Springs, AR, Roman P.M. Valles and spouse Leticia F. Valles of Houston, TX, and stepdaughter Sylvia LeDay-Pattie of Lake Charles, LA. Juanita was a loving and caring grandmother to Jackson V. Johnson and Sophia Jane Johnson of Hot Springs, AR, Helena Pattie of Lake Charles, LA and had many nieces and nephews.  

Visitations will be Monday August 7, 2023, at 9:00am at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast – 4631 Hondo Pass Drive. Vigil and rosary will follow at 10:00 am with the funeral mass at 12:00 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church – 2709 Alabama Street.
