Juanita Quintana Hernandez

Juanita Quintana Hernandez 59, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Oct.19, 2012. She was a graduate of Socorro High School, class of 71. Juanita was part of the faculty and staff at the University of Texas at El Paso for 14 years. She was also an employee of the phone company and completed her career as a senior secretary for the Traffic Engineering Department for the city of El Paso. Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Simona Quintana. Juanita is survived by her devoted husband of 14 years, Jesus Molina Hernandez; her daughter Jessica Nichole Borunda and her son-in-law, Gilberto Marquez; her sisters Josephina Lujan, Lucia Quintana, Cory Cruz and Alice Quintana; her brother, Mike Quintana. She is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews and her loving granddaughter Jerrica Rayleen Marquez. Visitation will be from 4:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be said at 9:00 AM Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at La Purisima Catholic Church (Socorro Mission). Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery.
