Juana Morales Malandris, died on January 5, 2012. Mrs. Malandris was born in Malaga, New Mexico. She grew up in Carlsbad, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas. She had been retired for over 20 years. She is survived by one sister, Estela (Jesus) Gallegos; two sons, Manuel (Gloria) Marquez, Jr. and Eduardo (Adriana) Malandris of El Paso TX, five grandchildren, Adelina (Jay) Smith of Pittsburgh, Pa. Lourdes (Luther) Bowen of Atlanta, Ga., Cristina (Matthew) Bedoya of Humble, TX. Melissa Malandris of Austin, TX and Alyssa Malandris of San Antonio, TX and six great-grandchildren, Ryan Jacob Smith, Kaley Nicole Smith, Jackson Baker Bowen, Weston MacArthur Bowen, Emma Cristine Bedoya, and Sophia Marie Bedoya. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews on her maternal side. Gathering of Remembrance will be from 5-9 pm with a vigil at 7 pm on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be at 10 am on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
