Juana M. Gomez

Juana “Viejita” M. Gomez, 76, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, June 24, 2007. She was born in Arizona, but was a resident of El Paso, TX for over 50 years. She was an active member of the Catholic Church and was preceded in death by her parents: Juan and Teresa Madero; sister, Herminia Parra; and brothers: Marcos, Manuel, and Raul Madero. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Nicolas Gomez; daughter, Carmen Muela (Oscar); grandchildren: Veronica Muela and Daniel Del Toro; sisters: Ramona Vizcarra of El Paso and Socorro Ontiveros of Las Cruces, NM; and countless nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, Wednesday, June 27, 2007 with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm, at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Oscar Muela, Daniel Del Toro, Ambro Ontiveros, Jesus Ontiveros, Alfredo Sepulveda and Julio Vizcarra. Services will be entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
