It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Juan J. Rodriguez on April 28, 2022. Fondly known as Tito to his grandchildren, great grandchildren and his great great grandson. He celebrated his 100-birthday last year and was just shy of celebrating his 101. He was so loved and will be greatly missed.
He was born in Guerrero, Mexico came to the United States at a young age and enlisted in the United States Army. He served in WWII and proudly served this country which he always was so grateful and humbled by the opportunities this country gave him. In May of 2018 a ceremony was held at Fort Bliss to honor him for his service, something he never expected but well deserved.
He was preceded in death by his wife Adelina Rodriguez and is survived by his daughters Gloria (Manuel) Marquez, Yolanda (Samuel) Candelaria, Rosa (Albert) Varela, Leticia Tagle and Norma (Edward) Gonzales. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and his brother David Rodriguez.
We want to thank Hospice of El Paso, Liz Garcia (nurse), Gilbert and Joe for the compassionate and wonderful care you gave him during his time here. We also want to thank Dr. Daisy Nieto for the wonderful care she gave him all the years he was her patient.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at St. Mark Church, 11700 Pebble Hills. Inurnment to follow at 11:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
