Josephine Carson

Josephine Carson, 98, passed away May 20, 2009. Born December 6, 1910, Marathon, TX. She was a loving wife, wonderful grandmother and the best Mama to her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for her children and spending her weekends at the racetrack. She will be welcomed at the gates of heaven by her parents Juan & Getrudius Salcido, her husband, John L. Carson and especially her son, Roberto Rodriguez. She is survived by her grand-daughters M. Kathern Kelly, Roberta A. Rodriguez and Jennifer C. Rodriguez. Her joys of her life were her great-grand children George P. Rodriguez, Raeann Kelly, Matthew Kelly, Amanda Rodriguez and Vincent A. Venzor. She leaves one brother, Ruben Salcido. Her nieces, Lupe Torres, Rosemary Lieman, Gloria Navarro and Margie Meza. We wish to give special “thanks” to the our care givers who worked so hard to keep our grandmother happy and to allow us to have her at home, Sonia Marinez, Rosa Noemi Salas and Irma Irene Guerrero-Zuniga. Her pallbearers will be George P. Rodriguez, Matthew Kelly, Ron Lieman, Jess Torres, Paul Venzor and Ricardo Anaya. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 10:30 am., San Francisco de Assisi with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Interment to follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery at 1:30 pm. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
