Joseph F. Pinedo

Dr. Joseph F. Pinedo passed away on Wednesday May 13, 2009 at the age of 85. Dr. Pinedo was born in Austin, Texas on September 9, 1923. He was a graduate of Chicago College of Optometry and practiced until November 2008. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945. He was proceeded in death by his brother Raul Pinedo, his mother Annie D. Ruiz and his father Joseph Pinedo Sr. He is survived by his wife Jane Pinedo, daughter Laura Davenport (spouse Jaime Quintana), sister Rosa Linda Salinas (spouse Abel) of Austin, Texas, brother Frank Pinedo (spouse Ann) of Houston, Texas, sister-in-law Guadalupe Pinedo of San Antonio, Texas, grandsons Benjamin J, Daniel J. (spouse Rosario Anabel) and Jason R. Davenport and various other nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Providence memorial Hospital and Dr. Portillo. Committal service will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be donated to the Lighthouse for the Blind.
